Ingredients

4 cups watermelon, cut into cubes and frozen

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4 to 6 lemons)

1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust according to your sweetness preference)

1 cup cold water

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare Watermelon: Begin by slicing a ripe watermelon into bite-sized cubes. Spread the cubes evenly on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the watermelon cubes freeze for at least 4 hours, or until they are completely solid.

Juice Lemons: While the watermelon is freezing, zest the time by juicing enough lemons to yield about 1 cup of juice. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds and pulp if you prefer a smoother texture.

Blend Ingredients: In a high-speed blender, add the frozen watermelon cubes along with the freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey (or agave syrup), and cold water. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth, ensuring there are no large chunks of watermelon left. If the slush is too thick for your liking, feel free to add a little more cold water to reach your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust: After blending, take a moment to taste the watermelon lemonade slush. Adjust the sweetness as needed by adding additional honey or a splash more lemon juice. Blend again briefly to incorporate any adjustments.

Serve: Once the slush reaches your desired taste and consistency, carefully pour it into chilled glasses.

Garnish (Optional): For an aesthetically pleasing presentation, garnish each glass with a fresh mint leaf and a slice of lemon on the rim.

Enjoy: Serve the Chilly Watermelon Breeze immediately, providing a straw or spoon for sipping or scooping up the slush!
